We meet on Wednesdays at 7:45 am. at the Valley Hi Country Club, 9595 Franklin Blvd., Elk Grove. Please join us.
The Rotary Club of Laguna Sunrise plays an important role in the Elk Grove community, as well as in the greater world of Rotary International. Some of the local programs the club supports are:
•Taste of Elk Grove – Which supports a variety of local non-profit organizations.
•Thanksgiving Dinner and Holiday gifts for local underprivileged families.
•Elk Grove Senior Center - With their mission to continue to enhance the lives of people age 50 and over.
•Dictionary Project- Donations of dictionaries to nearby schools.
•Speech Contest – Annual contest among Elk Grove high school students.
•Interact Club- Rotary Clubs organize and sponsor youth clubs for students age 14 to 18 years old; Laguna Sunrise supports the Interact Clubs at Franklin High School and Laguna Creek High School.
The Rotary Club of Laguna Sunrise also supports many national and international Rotary programs through giving and participation in the activities of the Rotary Foundation. Our members host group Study Exchange participants form other countries, as well as sponsoring teams going to other countries. El Salvador Housing project. We also assist in sending Ambassadorial scholars overseas and host those coming to the U.S.
Rotary is probably best known for its international campaign, “Polio Plus,” to eradicate polio, This project has immunized more than a half billion children in developing nations.
